I’m expected to achieve financial freedom soon. But what is financial freedom actually and how did I achieve it?

Well… I researched that the definition of such freedom is having enough savings, investments, and cash on hand to afford the lifestyle you want for yourself and your family. I guess that it is more than that I supposed. Having a huge amount of debt should not equate to financial freedom.

I left my “high paying” job to focus on personal self about 7 months ago. SInce then, I have been traveling to Italy, Seoul, Malaysia etc off and on. I have also focused on exercising more and cooking up dishes and baking.

And when I say that I will be achieving financial freedom soon, that where my last huge debt will be repaid, leaving me with no debt other than my monthly credit card bills. With no income at the moment, this “financial freedom” should be considered short term, otherwise, how much of my assets can sustain myself and my family’s expenses.

Fortunately, during my career, I was fortunate enough to save and invest wisely in properties as well as equities. Picking up the right stocks could be said 99% from luck and 1% from research. Fortunately I was also sensible enough not to focus on getting although I did get a car at some point of my youth. So for young readers out there, save and invest as much as you can whilst you are young and spend less on cars if you can.

I’m currently in my mid 40s and it’s probably a good time to assess what passive income i can build these few months. Online folks have recommended Amazon Associates Program, Vlogging, being an influencer, setup a business, etc. Doesnt seem easy to decide.

I would probably wirte in my next article on what are the various achievable choices. Thank you for reading and if you have any questions, please do not hesitate to write to me.
